Very rare for all comedians to be funny at a stand up gig but Comedy Carnival delivered! The host and the acts were great and had us laughing the whole night. Such great value for money.

History

Comedy Carnival’s first show was in June 2004 when the club was a monthly showcase of antipodean stand up comedy. That year, the club featured Adam Hills, Rhys Darby, Jim Jeffries, Steve Hughes, Kitty Flanagan, Ben Hurley, Julia Morris and Jarred Christmas.

After the club hosted Flight of the Conchords in one of their few London appearances in 2005, the club’s roster was expanded to include broader international comedy talent, including Reginald D Hunter, Russell Brand, Stephen K Amos, Angelo Tsarouchas and Tom Stade.

In 2007, the comedy club went weekly and hosted shows featuring key British comedians such as Michael McIntyre, Rhod Gilbert, Russell Kane, Mark Watson, John Bishop and Andrew Maxwell.
