Career Highlights
Known for his dark, cutting observant humour, Carey has been able to unite both the Guardian and the Daily Mail in praising his stand up shows – now that’s an achievement!
Carey suffered a heart attack in 2012, and used the scare to write about his experience within the healthcare system. “Intensive Carey” became one of the comedian’s most revered shows.
A keen solo performer, Carey has written and performed over 12 solo shows onstage, including The Doom Gloom Boom, Onomatopoeia Society III, and Scoundrel.
Carey is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival, with his most recent solo show, Carey Carey Quite Contrary, enjoying glowing reviews from critics and festival-goers alike.
Carey performed at Princess Beatrice’s second birthday party (yes, really!)
