Flight of the Conchords are a New Zealand comedy duo with a worldwide cult following. They’ve been proclaimed Best Comedy Newcomer or Comedy Act at several festivals and award ceremonies across the globe, including the prestigious Edinburgh Festival.
They began performing at local theatres and TV channels in their native New Zealand; the popularity of their songs was contagious and they quickly found themselves appearing on stages across Australia and Britain, headlining Comedy Carnival shows in 2005.
During their time in the UK, they produced a BBC Radio 2 show that parodied the duo’s search for commercial success. The popularity of the radio series led to their seminal HBO series, Flight of the Conchords, which cemented their status internationally as cult idols. Winning a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album further ensured that their international tours now sell out in seconds.
