When Will Smith first emerged as a story-telling stand up comedian, his first solo show at the Edinburgh Festival proved to be such a hit that he was invited to perform it at London’s Soho Theatre. Today he stands as one of the most in-demand comedians and comic writers in the UK.
A winner of the Time Out Comedy Award and The Chortle Best Headliner Award, he co-wrote, and appeared in, the award-winning The Thick of It (BBC Two) and wrote for the hugely successful US series Veep (HBO).
Will‘s many TV appearances include Have I Got News for You (BBC One), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), The Royal Variety Performance (BBC One) and The Stand Up Show (BBC One). His BBC Radio 4 credits include his own shows, Midlife Crisis Management and The Tao of Bergerac, and appearances on Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive, Banter and The Personality Test.
