Career Highlights
An expert in the art of holding a crowd, Ben has been on the comedy circuit since 1993, where he’s spent nearly 20 years perfecting his razor-sharp improv. With three Edinburgh shows and two UK tours as a supporting act for comedian Ed Byrne, Ben’s comedy quickly won the approval of both critics and audiences alike.
Ben has also appeared on the small screen, with several hilarious appearances on the UK’s favourite comedy panel shows. Ben has appeared on BBC1’s Mock the Week, and two flagship BBC2 favourites: Never mind the Buzzcocks and They think it’s all over.
Ben has also taken to the stage with his own full-length comedy shows: a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe, Ben has taken three of his shows to the famous comedy festival: ‘Sitting room only’ in 1997, ‘Mr Ambiguousness’ in 2013, as well as the more recent ‘Benny on the loose’ in 2014.
What do the critics have to say?
“The term “circuit legend” is overused, but Norris is one of a handful that have been headlining for more than two decades and rarely departs a stage without leaving it torn to shreds in his wake. A master of the craft, this will be an hour of the most polished stand-up you are likely to see.” – GQ
“…an acerbic attitude, a well-stocked arsenal of sharp lines and the wherewithal to work any crowd make Norris one of the more engaging and enjoyable comics on the circuit” – Chortle
“The London-based stand-up has been touring steadily for the past two decades, and he’s developed a razor sharp act in the process ; with the notable exception of Jason Byrne, it’s hard to think of anyone on the circuit who works an audience with as much skill and flair.” – The Scotsman
